Consider this

Fresh laundry. Train brakes. Food truck. Flowers. Wet paint. Cardboard. Fireplace. Warm earth. Crisp leaves. Your sweetheart. Your baby.

Every time I’m in a city, I’m reminded of how powerful the sense of smell is. Yet, very little attention is paid to the variety of scents all around us and what they evoke in our experience. Try to share, explain, or capture those elusive moments where you take in some scent — often unexpectedly — and it creates something new, or stirs something past. It’s completely subjective. Maybe… inherently beautiful.

It got me thinking, is someone exploring this through art, maybe thinking about this? And then I came across this academic paper — apparently so.
